Hugue M. has been working with the Brothers of the  “Christusträger” at the missionary hospital in Vanga, Congo for a long time. The focus of his work was the children’s ward. Additionally for home visits he always travelled to villages around Vanga .

Due to his medical skills and his reliable personality, Brother Werner W. of the “Christusträger” decided to support him financially with his desire to study medicine in Kinshasa. So Hugue began his studies in 2013 and has already made great progress (see reports Nr. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 10, 11, 12, and 13 – sorry, only in German language available). We co-finance the study and are also available to Hugue as a contact person (among others via Facebook Messenger ;-)).

Br. Werner visits Hugue regularly in Kinshasa when he is on his way to the hospital in Vanga for a few weeks. Hugue also likes to accompany him, as long as his studies leaves time for it. 

From these stays, sometimes spontaneous relief actions can result, as the lung operation of the little boy Mardoché shows. In the surgery a nail was removed in 2017, which Mardoché had swallowed while playing.
